The detection system utilizing passive sonar technology employs up to four sensors strategically positioned below the water level. As this system analyses acoustic energy below the water surface the effects of wind and rain, a common cause of false alarms are significantly reduced.
As sound travels at 1,460 meters per second under water, the alarm reacts almost instantaneously, saving invaluable seconds in rescue time, compared to non-sonar systems. The control panel, wireless linked to the command station, can be placed up to 50 meters from the pool providing an in-house control of the system. The powerful 100dBA alarm right in your house ensures superior alarm recognition. This is also duplicated at the pool-side through the Command Station. Both the Command station and Control Panel operate with non-lethal DC power supplies, inclusive of built-in rechargeable battery backup. sacunda is the ONLY retrofit alarm system capable of operating with most bubble covers, infinity and overflow type of pools.The alarm system technology is unaffected by wind or rain (in accordance with the EU standards), filtration devises, most automatic cleaning robots or counter-current swimming systems.
